ACW LAW was founded more than 30 years ago. Hal Anderson and Bob Creager first met when they were associated with the law firm of Friedman and Berry. In 1977, that firm dissolved and the new firm of Berry, Anderson and Creager was formed following Bob’s graduation from law school. Shortly thereafter, Craig Wittstruck, who had known Bob in college and who become friends in law school, joined the firm. The firm grew in stature and reputation. Tom Lamb, a classmate of Hal’s and a friend and former roommate of Bob’s, joined the firm in the 1980s. In 1994, Mr. Berry left the firm. Anderson, Creager & Wittstruck, P.C. was created and moved to the Historic Harris House in downtown Lincoln. Amie Martinez, who clerked for nearly three years at the firm before graduating from law school, was invited to join the firm at that time. A few years later, Tom and Amie became shareholders.

More recently, Jon Braaten and Teresa Truksa Skretta joined the firm as associates. Jon had been associated with the firm for years – first as a runner an then as a law clerk. Upon graduation, it was only natural for Jon to join us as a lawyer. Teresa was a close friend and classmate of Amie’s, and a natural addition to the firm.

ACW LAW is not only a law firm, but a family. The majority of our attorneys have been friends, coworkers and fellow undergraduates together for more than 20 years. The firm is large enough to handle complex case, yet small enough not to lose that sense of personal interaction with the attorney you hire. We have all the tools and resources necessary to effectively serve our clients.

We are lucky to practice in a beautiful office. The Harris House is a turn of the century building, on the Federal Register of Historic Places. It has been remodeled and upgraded over the years. It is a three-story, beautiful Victorian style house with all the character of an executive mansion. It fits in nicely with feeling of family that we have.
